Brugbart faced a problem with Russian spammers getting trough our pattern matching system, because it was unable to tell what the spammers posted. The easy solution was simply to block everything posted in unreadable characters from other languages, not a loss since we only allow posting in English anyway. Thats all while Brugbart still will be able to handle these characters internally. Supporting UTF-8 should not mean acceptance of everything users post!
